Family policies
What parents ask before a first block, in plain words.
Photos of your child
We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.
When to keep your child home
Please keep your child home with a fever, with vomiting or diarrhea in the last day, or with a rash you don't know the cause of. If a child gets sick during a block, we call you right away, and they rest in a quiet corner with a teacher until you arrive.
Drop-off and pickup
Your child goes home only with the adults you list when you register. Anyone we don't know shows photo ID, and we may call you first. A teacher hands each child to you at the room door.
Late pickup
If you're running late, call or text us and we'll keep your child comfortable. A block that runs over is billed for the extra time, and we explain how at registration.
What to wear and bring
Bring clean socks for every child who walks, a change of clothes in a labeled bag and a bottle or cup for the youngest. Outdoor shoes stay by the door.
Naps and safe sleep
Infants sleep on their backs, in their own cot, with nothing else in the cot. Older children who nap rest on a mat with a teacher in the room.
Reserving a time, and closures
Register once, then reserve a block for the day you need. Tell us your child's age and the hours, and we confirm by text. If a block is full, you can join the waitlist for that day. We close on county holidays and when the schools close for weather, and we text families as early as we can.
